If you have Linksys WRT54G version 5 and 6 need then I will suggest you to check the current firmware verion on your router.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to check the current firmware version:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Connect your main computer to the router with the Ethernet cable.<\/p>\n<p>Open the setup page of the router. Click on Status tab in the right top corner. On this page you will find the current firmware version of your router.<\/p>\n<p>If you have trouble connecting to the wireless network or slow speed\u00a0 then upgrade the Linksys WRT54g firmware.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Linksys WRT54G firmware upgrade<\/em> steps:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 1:<\/strong> First download the latest firmware from Linksys website.<a href=\"http:\/\/homesupport.cisco.com\/en-us\/support\/routers\/WRT54G\/download\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong> Click here<\/strong><\/a> to download the firmware file. Select the proper model and version number of your router. Do not ever use wireless computer to upgrade the firmware on your router. The default IP address of WRT54G is 192.168.1.1. Enter the default password admin and open the setup page. If the admin password is not working then you may need to reset Linksys router to factory default settings.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 4:<\/strong> You have Linksys router setup page opened. Click on <strong>Administration<\/strong> tab.
