Linksys EA9500 setup is easy, and you can do it without the installation program “Smart Setup Wizard”. In this article, we will see how to set up Linksys EA9500 router manually as well as using the Smart setup wizard troubleshooting.
The Linksys EA9500 is a high-performance wireless router with tri-band Wi-Fi rates of up to 5.3 Gbps, 8 Ethernet ports, and advanced features including MU-MIMO technology and beamforming. Connecting the Linksys EA9500 router to your modem, accessing the router’s setup page via a web browser, and following the guided setup process are all steps in the setup process. You may also use the Linksys App to easily configure and operate the router. The Linksys EA9500 router, once configured, can provide dependable and fast Wi-Fi coverage for your house or office.
As I said Earlier, you can setup Linksys EA9500 router in 2 different ways.
Manual setup: Like other Linksys routers, you can open the setup page of the router manually using the IP address of the device. Change the Internet connection settings and Wireless network settings.
Smart setup wizard: Setting up the Linksys Smart Wi-Fi Router is made easy using the Smart Setup Wizard. It is embedded in the firmware and is available even if the router does not have an Internet connection or is in its default settings.
I always prefer to setup all Linksys routers manually instead of any smart wizard or installation CD.

How to upgrade Linksys EA9500 Firmware?
Router firmware is a piece of software that governs the operation of a wireless router. It is stored in the router’s read-only memory (ROM) and governs how the router runs and communicates with other network devices. The router maker may issue firmware upgrades to address security flaws, introduce new capabilities, or improve overall performance. Users can download and install firmware upgrades on their routers to keep them secure and up to date. Router firmware is vital to the performance and security of a wireless network, and it must be kept up to date.
First you will need to download the latest firmware file from the official Linksys website. Download Linksys EA9500 firmware.
Save the firmware file on your computer. Now connect one of your computers to the router with the Ethernet cable. I prefer to use computer connected with the cable. Avoid using mobile devices to upgrade router firmware.
Now open the setup page of Linksys EA9500 router as explained above using 192.168.1.1. Noe go to Router Administration tab. There you will find the option to upgrade Linksys EA9500 firmware. If automatic upgrade is turned ON then it will upgrade the firmware automatically. You do not need to do anything in this case.

I was having hard time setting up this Linksys EA3500 router using setup wizard. It was stuck at some steps and could not find internet. Finally, I gave up the installation using wizard. Did a hard reset on the router. Connected computer with the cable. opened the settings page and changed the settings manually.
